Polycrystalline diamond - PCD
Pollycrystalline diamond is one of the supehard materials - its hardness is equal to hardness of nature diamond, which is already known as the hardest material ever.
The use of polycrystalline diamond is very diverse in mechanical engineering. The most suitable application of polycrystalline diamonds is definitely machining of non ferrous materials, machining of composite materials and graphit machining.
The biggest advantage of this material is its particularly high resistance against wear.
Polycrystalline cubic boron nitride - PCBN
Polycrystalline cubic boron nitride - PCBN - is another type of superhard material.
Same as polycrystalline diamond, polycrystalline cubic boron nitride is characterized by high resistance to wear. In mechanical engineering the PCBN materials is mostsuitable for machining of steels, machining of hardened steels, cast irons, machining of heat-resistant materials or sinter.
We at AA Diamonds can produce for you cutting segments from both materials described above. We also perform service of rotating PCD cutting tools.
